Now that spring time is officially in effect, I decided to pay a visit with D to see the cherry blossoms in DC this weekend. Not to mention, it was the perfect weather, as a local, to play tourist and explore the National Mall on foot. Too often do locals like myself forget how fortunate we are to live nearby landmarks that most people travel from far away distances to see.
So if you live nearby landmarks or unique landscapes that you have been to before or have never had the chance to see, take that step and make plans to visit it. Sometimes living near a place can give people this false impression that they can always see it whenever they want, which is true…until life checks in on you and gives you short notice of an opportunity to move away.
